First and foremost, at the suggestion of dil, I've created the "what's your favourite..." forum. Also at his suggestion, the first post is, of course, the BEST food in the world, CHEESE!
I'll start. Favourite cheese... What, you can only have one? There's several cheeses I prefer. Most of them are traditional. Colby, Cheddar, Monterrey Jack... but my favourite of all is a combination of Cheddar and Jack. It's the best. nic -------------------- graceful insanity is beautiful when accomplished -- come into the closet

where i like my mature cheddars, the crystal like structure of the really mature ones gets boring. so i then turn to simple cheeses such as edam and red leicester. mild, but yummah melted on toast with lashings of worchestershire sause! I like a good hard sharp Cheddar, but also like goat and feta cheese, and some milder ones like Havarti. Of course, baked brie in a nice pastry crust, with a good wine, is to die for.
